Her father was the editor of The Olympian newspaper in Washington. When she graduated from Tallahassee Florida's high school she started her studies in Boston University. Later, the school transferred her into Rhodes College and University of Florida. Her passion for performing arts started as a young girl. She attended acting classes and dance lessons. She dropped out of college and relocated to LA to forge a career in acting, which led to her debut as an actor in the 2006 in the short movie Lucy's Piano. Her debut film appearance was in 17 Again from 2009. She then played the role as Alice McKee as she appeared in Blood: The Last Vampire which is a film based on fantasy and action. In 2009, she made her big television debut as the lead role in Kings. Also, she played key roles in series such as Terra Nova Go On and Selfie. In the past she starred on A Million Little Things - a series about a family drama - and 13 Reasons Why - starring in both the main part as well as the playing a supporting.
