Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actor and producer who is best recognized for her roles played on Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is a producer and actress working in theater, film and television. Her acting career began in the theatre. Her appearances then included several television shows in independent films, mainstream and film. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico while also appearing in BET's acclaimed series The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she earned critical acclaim, as well as a variety of nominations and distinctions including the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. In 1995 she appeared in her first performance as Ariel in The Tempest as Ariel. Some stage credits comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production written by Joe Turner. Film-wise, she's best known for the roles she played in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. On television her regular role in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her accolades.
