McCormack comes from an unentertainment-related family. Her career began when she was 12 years old when she appeared in a stage production of 'Amahl and The Night Visitors', which was an opera for Christmas. At the age of 12, she began her acting career with one of the productions of the Christmas musical "Amahl and The Night Visitors". She continued to play in the theatre, and eventually landed roles both on large and small screen. Her versatility is recognized in the present. Michael Morris is her husband and she has 3 daughters.
